1. | HEGHINEH | From Greek name Helene (German Helena, Russian Yelena) which is a mythological name meaning "bright", "light". The short form is Heghush. |
2. | HEGHNAR | From Armenian heghnar "female deer" and it is not connected with the name Heghineh. |
3. | HERIK | From Armenian herik "enough". We also have the name Bavakan of the same meaning (Turkish Yetar). Often it is considered to be the short form of the name Heriknaz. |
4. | HERIKNAZ | From Armenian herik "enough" and naz "gentle". It is in use since XVII c. till now (esp. in villages). The short forms are Heriko, Hero (sometimes Heko). |
5. | HERMINEH | Came by means of literature in XIX c. We also have the form Yermoneh which is the female variant of the Greek name Hermes (see Hermes). Now it is not spread. |
