1. SILVA From Latin silva "forest", "garden", "park". As a name it is used in many European nations. In Armenia it spread in XIX c. due to Kailman's "Silva" opera.

4. SINAM From Armenian coll. sinam-havk or sinam-ghush "peacock" which symbolizes beauty. It is mainly met in villages. Now it is a rare name.
5. SIRAMARG From Armenian siramarg "peacock". As a name it is in use since XII c.
6. SIRANUSH From Armenian ser "love" and anush female particle (like Vardanush, Hranush). It is a spread name in Arm. The short forms are Siran, Sirush and Sirik.
7. SIRARPI From Armenian ser "love" and arpi "sun" i.e. "love sun", "sunny love". It is a new name, which appeared in XIV c. in Pols. It is in use in Western Armenia now.
8. SIRUN From Armenian sirun "pretty" which corresponds to Armenian name Geghetsik.
9. SIRVARD From Armenian ser "love" and vard "rose" i.e. "love rose". It is a new but spread name. We also have the form Silvard.
10. SITSILIA Is the name of one of the Italian islands, which is also used as a female name.
