According to M. Khorenatsi's ''Armenian History'' with the name of Arm. mythological hero Ara the word geghetsik (''handsome'') was often used which was written separately and was not a proper name. This new name was formed under the impression of ''Ara Geghetsik'' by N. Zaryan.
